In 1925, 125 acres of land was serving for training the aviators. The land got the name of "Municipal Aviation Landing Field." on 1926. With the construction of new building the facility named Philadelphia Municipal Airport on June 20, 1940.
from the north the easiest way is to take the New Jersey Turnpike south.
from the south you should proceed north on I-95.
For those traveling from the west take the Pennsylvania Turnpike across all of Pennsylvania.
There are shuttle buses between Terminal F and Terminal C using gate C16.
The parking are categorized as Garage(terminal A,B,C,D,E,F), short term (terminal A,B,C,D,E) and economy parking (terminal F only).
The fees for up to half an hour is 3$ on all of them.
The amount raises of 2$ each time for additional 30 minutes.
Daily rates for praking types are:17$ for Garage type, $38 for Short Term, 9$ for Economy.
